Vulnerability Is The Name Of The Game

This I know I've mentioned before, that I'm writing a book.

For a long time now, writing it hasn't been a seamless process.

I've sat and asked myself why this is such a drag, considering how excited I was to get started, thinking up so many ideas in a day and getting so excited to write them all down so I don't forget.

What happened to that spark?

After so much thought, I then realised how afraid I really am of being vulnerable. Rightfully so. There is no safety in it to be honest, especially presenting the most intricate and fragile parts of your life to the world, not knowing how they'll receive it and how they'll view you after this.

Vulnerability is beautiful with one you trust, one you knw genuinely cares about you, not the world as a whole lol, there's mean people out there.

But I also realised that beyond this, I don't want it to be another story book, another biography. I want it to be impactful, even if it's only meaningful to 5 people, but I hope they draw value from it. That it not just be words with no meaning. I don't want it be considered another wate of time, I never rate my writing as highly as others do, but I still enjoy it and I hope people do too. So I will keep writing and hopefully feel different about publishing it. Less afraid. Until then, let the ink continue to flow...
