"Dear 20 Something, You Will Unravel Beautifully"
A book by Ezinne Zara , a letter actually, very thoughtful and kind of her to remember those of us still struggling and navigating these early 20 somethings.
This letter really resonated with me, as a 21 year old that struggles to keep balance with life in general, the academic asect of it all, family, work prospects, and still trying to be a dedicated Christian, one who I want my Father to be proud of, one He will recognise. I want to live a life that people will say 'she walked with God'.
But balancing all of this is never easy, I've even had to put down some obligtions so I can handle others.
It is true, that trying to live a life that truly represents God and chasing financial success in this world is not an easy walk and there indeed are very few reference points. Not many succeed at it, it is unfortunately a given that somewhere along the way there will be conflicts of interest. There will be trade-offs and in order to have one you may have to compromise on the other.
Many a times, it seems really scary and as though nothing good will come out of these 20s. The comparisons come flooding in, the pressure is unending and the anxiety never goes away. It is a sweet reminder to know you are not alone and that many others are walking this journey with you, to know that there are people like Ezinne who went through it and came out successful.
I loved this part:
"don't shrink back from what you will find within yourself - remember that your strengths have been designed to meet a need that this world has and that your weaknesses have been included to keep you humble and dependent on God."
